Mary asks…what are the ideal fasting gluclose levels for a type 2 diabetes?Glucose levels are 98 around 5am and it went to 135 around 8am without any eating in between. Any idea?Alf answers:You want to try and keep your blood sugar as close to normal as possible even though you have type 2. Keeping it in check will help you prevent long term problems and make your a happier camper in the short term.
Fasting: 90-130 After meals: 180.
First, 135 is not bad for a fasting for a type 2.
